The E-CO2 showcases the Dairy ‘What If?’ Tool at Global 500.

More than 760 attendees from 50 different countries, spanning six continents, gathered at the Alltech Global 500 to learn about the future of beef and dairy production, specifically how to remain profitable while increasing efficiency and sustainability.

During the dairy and beef presentations the Global 500 delegates were introduced to the unique E-CO2 Dairy ‘What If?’ Tool. This online software has been developed in partnership with Alltech and will also form part of their EPS programme (Efficiency, Profitability and Sustainability). The Dairy ‘What If?’ Tool allows farmers to gain an instant assessment of their herd’s performance as well as predict the potential improvements that can be made by adjusting some of the key variables such as milk yield, fertility and resource use. By entering these key variables the user can also measure the associated reduction in environmental footprint within an individual dairy operation. The Dairy ‘What If?’ Tool also had a dedicated stand where farmers and consultants could try the tool.

During the conference, E-CO2 staff members Andrew Wynne, Peter Darlington and James Wynne demonstrated how the Alltech Dairy ‘What If?’ Tool can be applied to any dairy operation to indicate what can be expected on any individual farm, instantly.
